Faculty of Medicine of Universitas Sumatera Utara is focusing its development to become a leading medical education institution to the center of excellence in the field of tropical medicine (Tropical Medicine) and malignant disease (Oncology) in Indonesia. Tropical medicine and malignant disease (Oncology) caused by many factors such as environment, genetic, radiation induce tumor, and infection induce tumor.
The objectives of The 2nd Asia Australasian Neuro and Health Science International Conference (AANHS), are the study and advancement of the art and neuroscience, neurosurgery, and Health Science by research into the cause, prevention and treatment of disease in human beings. Understanding of the knowledge through global perspective.
This will target 300 participants from around the world especially Asian and Australasian, presenting state-of-the-art scientific presentations, delivered by both wellknown international and national speakers; aiming to provide a forum to share the latest research, exchange the new emerging knowledge in global perspective, discuss the recent problems and challenges in as well as to discuss the future development and provide a networking opportunity for clinicians, researchers, and experts working in those fields.
Conference Theme : “Welcoming The Best Spine Treathment for The New Generation Toward Better Quality of Life”
Bipolar Disorder has been known since the ancient Greece and Rome period, which was in the 17 th
Century. In 18 th century, it began to be observed. In the 19th (1851) century Jean-Pierre Falret stated Bipolar disorder as “la folie circulaire”. and in the 20 century (1921), Kraepelin stated bipolar disorder as “Manic Depressive Insanity and Paranoia” and claimed that bipolar was caused by biological problem. From the 21st century to the present, Bipolar Disorder is sll being researched and need to be explored further.
One of the most challenging problems is to do basic and clinical research, and to socialize it to the community as well. This final aims are to improve services for the community, such as promove, prevenve, early detecon, and opmal management that consist of both psychopharmacotherapy and non-psychopharmacotherapy for those who have been diagnosed as bipolar disorder, besides prevenng the brain deterioraon so that it can reach recovery and opmal funconing in life. Indonesian Psychiatric Associaon (PDSKJI) Bipolar Disorder and other mood disorders chapter is proud to present “THE 3 RD BIPOLAR AND OTHER MOOD DISORDERS SYMPOSIUM IN COLLABORATION WITH THE 2ND NEUROSCIENCE CONGRESS OF THE INDONESIAN NEUROSCIENCE SOCIETY (MNI)”.
The development of neuroscience is very rapid throughout the brain research. Neurosciensts focus on the brain and its implicaons on cognive funcon, the occurring processes, awareness and human behavior, how the nervous system works, including the anatomy, physiology, and pathology of the diseases. Therefore, neuroscience is a muldisciplinary branch, consist of psychiatry, neurology, neurosurgery, and other medicine, psychology, engineering, linguiscs, biochemistry, philosophy, mathemacs, computer science and biotechnology.
Neurosciensts study and examine neurons, their funcons, their structures, their behavior, their development and evoluon, their computaons, molecular and medical aspects that usually being overlapping each other. This is a good condion as long as the sciensts connue to work and focus on each field by paying aenon and maintaining the professional and scienfic ethics respecvely.
In Indonesia, the revival of awareness of the importance of neuroscience was carried out by MNI, a muldisciplinary associaon interested in advancing neuroscience in Indonesia on March 2011 and launching ‘BRAIN DECADE’ with the slogan “FROM NEURON TO NATION”. Therefore a symposium and neuroscience congress were held in conjuncon with the Mood Disorders which had a high prevalence of up to 6% in Indonesia (Riskesdas, 2013). The scienfic theme will be “Mood, Cognion and Neurological Problems: Implemenng Neuroscience Perspecves for Beer Educaon and Society”.

National Congress of Indonesian Neurological Association (INA) as a four yearly event is almost time to be held again. National Congress is an event for all INA members in Indonesia which include organizational and scientific discussion forum. This event has become a continuous effort to enhance the role of Neurologists in Indonesia in order to succeed the health-care sector.
The influences of globalization are unstoppable for Indonesia along with sophisticated technology advancement, the world is now entering a revolutionary industry 4.0 era, which emphasizes on the digital economy, artificial intelligence, big data, robotic, etc. or known as disruptive innovation phenomena. Facing these challenges, National Congress of INA presents a theme about “The Challenges of Neurology Development in the Fourth Generation Industrial Revolutionary Era”. The industrial revolution experienced its current peak with birth of digital technology that has a massive impact on human life throughout the world.
Unlike the previous industrial revolution, this 4th generation industrial revolution has a wider scale, scope and complexity. New technology advancement that integrates the physical, digital and biological worlds has affected all disciplines, economics, industry and especially in our fields of health-care. The latest industrial revolution or fourth generation industries encourage automation systems in all activities and processes. Are Indonesian neurologists ready to face this change? We will answer during National Congress of INA event which if God willing will be carried out on August 2019.
Colleagues of all PERDOSSI members throughout Indonesia, let’s make National Congress of INA 2019 fruitful and successful seisson by attending, participating and contributing to this event.
